Reminder: This application is for students seeking a master's or doctoral degree including non-degree seeking students. International students should follow the International Admission application process.
After acceptance, follow these steps.
Students not wishing to receive a degree from the University of the Incarnate Word may be approved to enroll in courses as a non-degree seeking student upon completion of the application linked below.
Prior college/university transcripts are not required for enrollment. The applicant, if approved for enrollment, will be allowed to enroll in up to 24 semester hours as an undergraduate non-degree seeking student.
Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for financial aid and are not eligible for UIW academic scholarships or grants.
Domestic students may not accumulate more than 24 semester hours under the non-degree seeking status.
This application is for new and returning students seeking a degree in the School of Professional Studies in an accelerated format online or in-person at the undergraduate, graduate or doctoral level.
The deadline for your application is the Sunday one week prior to the term start date.

Complete and submit your FAFSA to apply for financial aid (grants, work-study, and loans) to pay for college.
Consult with an academic advisor and register for classes.
Complete the online orientation to get familiar with resources and tools that will help you succeed in your program.

If a student has not attended the University during the past year, the student will need to apply for readmission using a shortened version of the undergraduate application.
All graduate, doctoral and professional students wishing to be readmitted should complete the readmission form located on the Graduate Studies Readmission webpage.

Students who were previously enrolled at UIW in the School of Professional Studies (SPS) or (formerly known as School of Applied Sciences (SAS), ADCaP or UIW Online in the Extended Academic Programs division), but have not attended class in more than two terms (16 weeks) and have not yet graduated with an undergraduate or graduate degree, do not need to complete a new application. These students should review the instructions and complete the form at Get Started with the School of Professional Studies.
